  • Can we customise our wedding menu at Mulia Bali?

Absolutely. Our award-winning culinary team offers a wide range of international cuisines and can tailor menus to your tastes and dietary preferences. Menu tasting sessions can be arranged to help finalise your selections.

  • Can you accommodate dietary requirements and customise the food and beverage arrangements for a wedding?

Legal & Cultural

  • Can we have a legal wedding ceremony in Bali at Mulia Bali?

Yes, you can have a legal marriage in Bali, but specific requirements apply. The ceremony must be conducted under one of the religions officially recognised by the Government of Indonesia, and must include both a religious ceremony and civil registration. We strongly advise engaging a wedding planner to guide you through all legal procedures and documentation.

  • Can Mulia Bali accommodate weddings from different cultural or religious traditions?

Mulia Bali welcomes weddings and celebrations from a variety of cultural and religious traditions. Our Wedding Team can work with couples to understand their preferred ceremony format, cultural customs, religious requirements, and celebration style, subject to applicable venue guidelines and arrangements.

Whether you are planning a traditional, religious, cultural, or contemporary wedding, our team will work closely with you to create a celebration that reflects your traditions and personal wishes.

Day-of Logistics & Weather

  • What are the best months for an outdoor wedding in Bali?

Bali generally experiences its drier season from April to October, which is often preferred for outdoor weddings. However, weather conditions can vary throughout the year, and rain is possible even during the dry season.

Our Wedding Team can advise on suitable dates and wet-weather contingency arrangements for your celebration.

  • What happens if it rains on the day of an outdoor wedding?

For outdoor weddings, a wet-weather contingency plan can be discussed with our Wedding Team in advance. An alternative indoor or covered venue may be arranged subject to availability, unless a backup venue has been pre-arranged and confirmed as part of the wedding arrangements.

Our Wedding Team will work closely with the couple to determine the most suitable contingency plan based on the selected venue, event setup, and weather conditions.

  • What is the contingency plan for bad weather on our wedding day?

If weather conditions are unfavourable, we will provide an indoor venue from our selection of ballrooms, function rooms, or restaurants — subject to availability. For couples wishing to guarantee a specific back-up venue, advance reservation is required at the time of booking. This reservation is non-refundable and cannot be transferred to other uses.

  • Does Mulia Bali provide a rain-stopping ceremony or Pawang Hujan for weddings?

Weather conditions cannot be guaranteed or controlled by the resort. If you wish to arrange a traditional Pawang Hujan as part of your wedding preparations, please discuss this with our Wedding Team in advance so that we can advise on the arrangements and any applicable requirements.

  • Is there a sound curfew for weddings at Mulia Bali?

For outdoor wedding venues at Mulia Bali, amplified sound and entertainment are permitted until 9:30 PM Bali time. After this time, amplified music must conclude in accordance with the resort’s sound guidelines to ensure the comfort of other guests.

For couples wishing to continue the celebration, our Wedding Team can recommend suitable indoor venue options or an after-party at ZJ’s Bar & Lounge, subject to availability and applicable requirements. ZJ’s Bar & Lounge may also be available for private events.

  • Can we have fireworks or special effects at our wedding in Bali?

Fireworks may be permitted for weddings held in designated beachfront areas, subject to resort approval, applicable regulations, weather conditions, and safety requirements. All fireworks must be arranged through the resort’s appointed vendor.

For safety reasons, certain special effects, including colour bombs, pyrotechnic effects, and similar effects involving fire, smoke, sparks, or combustible materials, are not permitted within the resort.

Our Wedding Team will be pleased to advise on suitable alternatives that comply with the resort’s safety and venue guidelines.

  • Can we use drones for wedding photography or videography at Mulia Bali?

For the safety and privacy of our guests, drone photography and videography are permitted only in designated areas and with prior approval from Mulia Bali. Drone operations are subject to the resort’s guidelines, location restrictions, and applicable regulations.

Couples and their photographers or videographers are requested to discuss any proposed drone usage with our Wedding Team in advance.
