Seven Seas, Seven Theatres, Seven Countries, Seven Courses
One of the classic works of literature that sparked the wanderlust in us may be Jules Verne's "Around The World in 80 Days". The imaginary travel of Phileas Fogg back then inspired many to pack it up and go, following his trail from London to Egypt, India, Hong Kong, Japan, USA and back.
But before you decide to pack your bags, leave it all behind and follow on Fogg's epic journey, why not try to 'travel' the world in a different way? Through food.
The Cafe at Mulia Resort - Nusa Dua, Bali, offers you just that, a culinary journey around the world. With seven cooking theatres, this chic restaurant features culinary treasures from seven different regions - Thailand, Korea, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, and the West.
Begin your journey at the Thai theatre with its fresh salads, curries, stir-fry, and the nation's all-time favourite hot and spicy soup, Tom Yum. Followed by a visit to the Orient, with authentic Korean dishes, and a noodle station featuring our favourite Peranakan dish, Laksa. While you are here, try out the Chinese style roast duck, crispy pork belly and braised chicken.
The Indian theatre will pamper you with the harmonious blend of exotic herbs and spices in their selection of curries, roti, and tandoors. One of the restaurants best is the Cheese Naan, this is something you don't want to miss. Closer to home, the Indonesian section features culinary treasures of the archipelago - from the west side with its spicy dishes to the east side with their seafood signatures.
Journey further to the Japanese theatre where you can delight in freshly made sushi, sashimi and a seafood bar. Make yourself a bowl of Miso Soup to cleanse your palate, preparing you for the next course. The Western theatre will pamper you with a selection of European classics - freshly made pasta, risotto, cheeses, bread selections and more. Backtrack to Thai theatre for freshly grilled premium meat and seafood.
Celebrate the end of your journey around the world at The Cafe's dessert heaven! With a chocolate fountain, homemade ice cream and sorbets, and a selection of sweet indulgence from cakes to mousse and pannacotta, to Indonesian desserts.
Now, this is the kind of world travel that we love! Are you on board?
